When you run a business, it doesn’t matter what type of business, there will always be lots of data generated. Some of this data is obvious and can be seen whereas others lie beneath programs or systems.Ā When we start to consider what we can do with our business data the possibilities seem endless.
As soon as there are multiple options available our brains turn to overwhelm and then it’s easy to place in the too hard basket.Ā In an overwhelm State of Mind it begins to be easy to justify why we shouldn’t begin on that project.Ā Because DATA has the stigma of being vast and complicated and never-ending some of our brains will automatically go to overwhelm before considering what data can do for us.
So how do we avoid going into overwhelm and begin looking at our data in a different light.
The answer will depend on the type of individual you are.
Ā
Fear Driven
If youāre fear driven then you can start to think about how much money you might be losing by not running your data or worse how your competitors are using their data and youāre getting left behind.Ā
Positive Action Driven
If you’re positive action-driven then itās something you can achieve and feel good about.
How can Data Cooking help?
At Data Cooking weāre trying to break down the stigma of data by relating it to something weāre familiar with like cooking
Data is the ingredients you need to perform the actions (like cooking) to present the finished product (like a meal). There are a lot of similarities between both of these actions and we hope youāll follow us as we help guide you from overwhelm to understanding.
